The 80's skateboard art aesthetic is RAD. Some of the original decks are full-on collectors items. One of the key figures in skateboard art besides Jim Philips is Wes Humpston, one of the guys that started Dogtown skateboards. You can check out a video about him below...

Helsinki based agency Bond 1 created a custom font for a Blue 1 campaign using an old letterpress machine and a set of wooden block letters. Visit bond-agency.com for more on this project and check the rest of their portfolio.

Details aside, this photo comes close to summing up my life plan in one image. The Freshwater house, Sydney was pohotographed by John Gollings. Looks like I'm going to need to employ Chenchow Little Architects. ^_^

A quality video by Getty about graphic and interaction designer Ian Coyle. He and Duane King ( thinking for a living ) run a design studio in Portland OR and work on select projects that allow the user to investigate, discover and be rewarded for their curiosity. Concentrating on clean interactive design that's based on a working knowledge of letterpress printing - both these guys are producing work that makes sense to me. Here's a video of an AIGA presentation they did on ther work.
Iccedentally, they seem to share a space with OMFGco.

Mtendere Mandowa, aka Teebs produced Ardour, my favourite album of last year. I really enjoy listening to his music and working / relaxing ( same thing? ). You can listen or downlaod a track from his first album Ardour and watch a new video about his art process below. Buy Teebs' music here.

I made linocut invitations for my engagement party with mixed ink, light pink card and a star sticker in the top right. Because my lady and I both love J Dilla's musical work the design references a Dilla 12" cover design by Studio No.1.

Some pictures I've taken on my old iPhone while in and around Glasgow over the last few months. Some local sights, a little graffitti and whatnot. I'd like to know who did the paste-up of the young girl and teddy bear, anyone know?

The removal of modern signage can occasionally reveal real typographic gems. This shopfront and beautiful piece of signage is one of my neighbourhood favourites.
But then I do have a bit of a thing for pink.

I bought this little red hat from CXXVI a couple weeks ago and am kind of aiming for that ill Steve Zissou look. Still some work to do on the beard.
